Introducting the 2013 TBR Pile Reading Challenge

With 2012 coming to a close, I'm looking back on everything I've read this year.... and then I cry a little on the inside. I'm not saying that I haven't enjoyed the books that I've read! Absolutely not, they've all been absolutely wonderful. The only problem is that there hasn't been nearly enough of them. 2012 has not been a pretty year for me book-wise, and I deeply regret that. Sometimes life gets in the way though, and there's nothing I can do about that.

And that's why this challenge is so amazing. It's giving me the incentive I need to read those books that didn't make it last year. The ones I've been absolutely dying to read, but haven't had the time to get to. And trust me, there's a lot of those. Anybody who's taken a look at The LIST lately will notice that quite a few of the books on there aren't exactly new releases. Yeah....

I found out about this reading challenge through the absolutely beautifully wonderful Fiktshun, so here's the explanation she gave:

Welcome to 2013 TBR PILE Reading Challenge!!!
We all have those books. We buy them, win them, they’re gifted to us. Then we put them up on a bookshelf and there they stay, collecting dust, waiting for the time when we’ll finally decide to pick them up.

Join us on a quest to dust off your TBR Pile and read all the books you’ve been telling yourself you’ll read next time you’ll get a chance. This is your chance! And we’ve got PRIZES!!!

Challenge Guidelines…

***This challenge will run from Jan 1, 2013 – Dec 31, 2013***

It’s open to INTERNATIONALS. The giveaway will be open until the next wrap up post goes up! (i.e., the entire year).

Do you see this, people? A BOX of books! Even if you don't need that gentle nudge (or in my case, something along the lines of a shove off of a cliff) in order to get those books read, you should be interested in this. You don't even need to have a blog as long as you can post your reviews somewhere!

You can sign up on any of the six hosts' blogs, or you can enter here.

I'm going to be a loser and just start off with A Firm Handshake, but hopefully (please, please, please, PLEASE) I'll be able to read much more than that. Here are a few of the books I hope to get to next year.

So, are you guys going to join?
